Wanderlust in Cape May

Wanderlust in Cape May

Eddie was home for spring break and we wanted to do something special but not travel too far. Decided on a trip to Cape May. Just an easy jaunt down the Garden State Parkway. It was a beautiful, sunshiney day. Just good to get on the road. Here are some of the memories we made.

Delightful lunch at The Lobster House near the sparkling harbor. The homemade bread to die for. Reasonable lunch menu. I had the special- cod topped with lobster sauce and shrimp and Ed had the Seafood Platter featuring famous “Cape May scallops”.

Picture perfect. The lighthouse itself was only open on weekends to climb (off season) but we strolled along the beautiful grounds.

I actually just kicked back in the sand. Such peace by the water. Can’t believe how warm it is for March!!!

This is an old WWII outpost on the beach. Very cool!

Most shops were not open for the season yet but we went in a few. Greatest find, Fudge Kitchen. Bought some delicious homemade fudge. Bonus: they are open all year!

Have you ever been  to Cape May? Next time I’m going to check out those “Cape May diamonds” and maybe the zoo. Send  me some of your Jersey Shore memories!
